The usual questions
Why pay you when I could plan it myself?
You could. It’ll take you fifteen to twenty hours and you’ll still miss things I only know because I’ve been there. If your time is worth less than that, plan it yourself — I’d rather tell you than take your money.
How do you get paid?
Two ways. You pay me a planning fee — the price on the pricing page, and the only thing you pay me directly. Separately, hotels and tour operators pay me a commission after you travel. That comes out of their margin, not your pocket: you pay the same rate you’d pay booking it yourself.
Do I pay more for hotels booked through your links?
No. Same rate, and often below public rate where an agent discount is available.
What if I don’t like the itinerary?
Revisions are included — how many depends on your tier. Most people use one.
Can you book flights?
I’ll find them and send you the link, at cost. Airfare isn’t included in the planning fee.
What if I’ve already planned my trip?
Book a Second opinion — $95. I’ll go through what you’ve built and tell you what to cut, what you’ve overbooked, what you’ve missed and where you’re overpaying. Written notes plus a call. If you decide you’d rather I just did the whole thing, the $95 comes off your planning fee within 30 days.
How far ahead should I book you?
Caribbean: 6–8 weeks. Europe: 4–6 months, longer for summer.
Do you handle travel insurance?
I’ll tell you what kind you need and where to get it. I don’t sell it.
What happens if something goes wrong mid-trip?
I’m not on the trip with you — unless you want me to be. But I am reachable the whole time you’re away, for anything that comes up. Rebooking, a restaurant that fell through, a driver who didn’t show. You have my number before you fly.
